Thanks to all who attended the Parish briefing and for the apologies received. The presentation slides are attached for your information.
15 members of the public attended, with concerns relating to the Parkway Village proposals including:
– Infrastructure not being in place prior to the development and not being sufficient to support the development e.g. roads, schools, GP surgeries, hospital capacity etc…
– Rat run through the Parish lanes, with these being used by construction traffic and those living in the SWUE and Parkway Village.
– Whilst green spaces/green gaps may be included within the plans to provide separation from existing communities and to protect the natural environment, there needs to be confidence that these will be enforced and will not be subject to later revision e.g. due to developers’ commercial/financial pressures.
Attendees also highlighted the lack of delivery of the ATC and traffic calming measures that were explained at previous Parish briefings. Kevin provided an update on this, including the meeting being sought with Cllr Amos, WCC Cabinet Member for Transport.
Thanks for making the information so easily available and showing how to give our opinion on the plan. Seems more like destruction than development.
Thank you for the feedback, it’s much appreciated.
