Neighbourhood Plan Referendum Result

We are pleased to announce the result of the Neighbourhood Plan Referendum which took place on the 28th October.

Thank you to all residents who voted!

Total number of votes cast 293 (15.4% of electorate)

YES votes 252 (86% of the vote)

NO votes 41 (14% of the vote)

Following formal adoption by Wychavon District Council the plan becomes part of the statutory development planning process for our area.

What does that mean?

The local planning authority and planning inspectors when considering planning applications or appeals must make their decisions in accordance with the policies of the Neighbourhood Plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise. The plan is not intended to, nor can it, overrule the South Worcestershire Development Plan but it does give us a seat at the planning table.
