Parking near NJK CE Primary School

In response to ongoing complaints/issues with parking in the vicinity of NJK CE Primary School, the Parish Council has raised parking matters with Worcestershire County Council (WCC) to seek to ease these issues.  As a result, WCC has developed proposals for revised parking restrictions in Littleworth, and these are now available for public consultation – please see the Public Notice and Plan accompanying this post.  Responses can be submitted to WCC as detailed in the Public Notice.

Green spaces and public footpaths within Norton-juxta-Kempsey Parish

The purpose is to help obtain grant funding to improve the green spaces within the Parish.

In summary, the Vision is to:

  • Protect, enhance and add perpetual green spaces both within and adjacent to Norton-juxta-Kempsey.
  • Encourage and nurture biodiversity within those green spaces.
  • Inform residents and visitors alike on all aspects of the green spaces particularly as to the flora and fauna found there.
  • Guide people with walking trails and routes to visit the green spaces safely and without adversely impacting the resident flora and fauna. Such routes will form part of the active travel network essential to promoting healthy living.

Fulfilling the vision requires funding and we have an opportunity to apply for a substantial Community Legacy Grant (CLG) from Wychavon District Council. Community Legacy Grants are a way that Wychavon DC shares funding with parishes to develop assets and services of long-term benefit to the local community; both the Norton Connector minibus and the major improvements to the Parish Hall in the last few years were CLG funded.

As part of any CLG application, we must consult with the residents of the Parish to ensure they are supporting our ambitions. We would be grateful if you would answer the following questions:

The consultation is open from April 1st until May 5th 2024.
