Message from West Mercia Police. – How to contact us regarding dangerous dogs.

I am aware some concerns have been raised about dogs on the highway which may be causing a danger to road users and wider ASB relating to loose dogs.
As with all incidents, the risk is scalable and the response will be graduated, determined by the risk presented by any stray dog therefore I highlight the following:
If the incident is the identification of a stray dog and there is no apparent risk present then please contact the Dog Warden: https://www.worcsregservices.gov.uk/…/dog-warden-service/
If any loose dog is presenting a nuisance or danger to members of the public, their dogs or worrying livestock or is loose on a highway please contact the police. The method of contact should be considered based on the risk present at the time.
The preferred means of contact is either via your local community team pershorerural.snt@westmercia.police.uk or via our Single Online Home portal Report | West Mercia Police
If there is an immediate risk of serious harm to a person present at the time then please contact 999. Otherwise, all other reports should be via 101
