Bin collections and grass verges

We’ve been advised of the following by Wychavon DC:
The times that waste and recycling bins are collected across Wychavon may change for some residents from w/c 7 November.
Wychavon is making some changes to its waste and recycling collection rounds to further improve efficiency and ensure that its current high standard of service is maintained.
There are no changes to collections days within our Parish, but the time that bin crews arrive may change from what residents are used to.
To make sure that nobody misses their bin collection, Wychavon is urging residents to make sure that their bin is out by 7am on the day of their scheduled collection. Crews will collect anytime between 7am and 6pm.
Due to very limited mowing of verges in rural areas by WCC Highways, the Parish Council carries out some mowing along Wadborough Road, Littleworth to keep these areas tidy and well maintained. In response to feedback from the community, the Parish Council has considered future maintenance plans, with the aim of improving biodiversity. With effect from the 2023 growing season, the Parish Council has agreed to trial reduced mowing of these areas, with a 2-metre section of verge (from the roadside) being mowed, rather than the whole of the verge. It is also planned to sow wildflower seeds in the areas that will no longer be mowed as part of the trial, to further improve the biodiversity of the areas. Feedback on the trial (which will start in 2023) is welcomed by emailing the Parish Clerk, Jane Greenway, njkparishclerk@aol.com
